Handmade with high quality Japanese paper cords, Mizuhiki.
Mizuhiki is a traditional art form made of Washi paper, tightly wound, starched then wrapped with silk or plastic foil. Mizuhiki's history goes as far back as 607 AD. Commonly used for special occasions such as weddings and gift wrapping in Japan. As the cord gets stronger as you pull, it has a meaning of bonding with the people around you.
All Mizuhiki we use are authentic and purchased directly from a trusting, long-established manufacturer in Japan.
